2 tablespoons (40g) butter at room temperature
4 teaspoons (60g) fresh basil, chopped
12 units Magic Toast

Scrambled egg:
4 eggs (240g)
4 tablespoons (60 ml) milk
1/2 cup (50g) bacon, cut into cubes

Makes 4 servings (each serving with 3 toasts)
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: 10 minutes
Tips: If the bacon is not fat, add 1 tablespoon of margarine while browning.
The cooking of the egg must be done almost simultaneously with the heating of the toast.
Variations: Replace the bacon by pancetta.
If you want a creamier preparation, add heavy cream.


Add butter and basil, mix to a paste.

  • Use this paste on the surface of Magic Toast. Bake in preheated moderate oven (180°C) for about 5 minutes or until hot and golden brown.

Scrambled egg:
Meanwhile, in a bowl, add the eggs and milk, whip it with a fork or whisk until smooth. Season with salt.

  • In a nonstick medium skillet, bring to low heat and brown the bacon in its own fat.
  • Pour the preparation of eggs over the bacon and cook over low heat, occasionally stirring until the egg starts to clot (the preparation should be cooked and moist).
  • Serve the scrambled egg with the toast.
